No one gets out of recording alive . .. or dead posted on 04/10/2004

Jimi Hendrix has been dead longer than most of his fans today have been alive. It's 33 years and counting since this rock guitar god succumbed to mere mortality. During his rather brief stay on this mortal coil, he managed to release only three studio albums, one live recording and a single retrospective, Smash Hits. And yet there has been a steady stream, often a torrent, of Hendrix rock recordings ever since his creative controls were removed. Only Elvis Presley has been as busy in death as Jimi. And the Hendrix hit parade from beyond the grave just keeps rocking and rolling along with this live opus proving that no tape machine turned on during a Hendrix performance was wasted. A sure sign that Jimi's not ready to take up his retirement chair in Archangel Gabriel's Heavenly Choir and Rock Ensemble.

I received this album and checked all records the 1st 2 days upon receipt. Apart from the content itself that I judge very nice , I have to say that the condition of the 8 vynyls was perfect , not a single problem . I know by experience ( got it ? ) that this is not so common and it is important when you are overseas and buy online. I can say that I'm a maniac and very critical regarding vynyl condition ( pressing , manufacturing , sound , noise , etc )

I was very very pleased . Thanks .

La calidad de los vinilos son muy buenas, excelentes. La versiones que contiene de su temas históricos son tan buenas o mejores que los incluidos en sus albumes oficiales, además de la versiones en directo de clásicos como "Gloria", "Like a rolling stone", "Killing floor". El box contiene además un libro fantástico donde explica el por qué de cada tema. Estoy muy contento de tener esta auténtica joya. I write from Spain, and I think is good write this review in spanish because I'm very satisfied with Acoustic Sound ( service, fast, quality merchandise ), and tell the people in Spain that this web is wonderfull. Thanks you Acoustic Sound's friends !!

Great Sound! Great selection from previously unreleased recordings. Nothing here seems redundant. All of it renews the sense of why we loved Hendrix in the first place.
