Triple Point Records releases a five LP box set by the short lived mid-1960s improvising ensemble The New York Art Quartet, of music recorded between 1964-65 and previously uncirculated. The release, titled Call It Art, contains four hours of music from six sessions. The Quartet comprised John Tchicai, Roswell Rudd, and Milford Graves, plus a rotating cast of collaborators.

Call It Art arrives on five 150-gram LPs pressed by the premier audiophile pressing plant, Quality Record Pressings. The release comes with a hardcover clothbound book in a wooden box, and also includes playing by Lewis Worrell, Reggie Workman, Amiri Baraka, JC Moses and others. The pressing is limited to 665 hand-numbered copies. The book runs 156 pages and contains the complete history of the Quartet and its members. The custom birch wood box also contains dozens of photos, manuscripts and other memorabilia.
