Propelled by the timeless hit "Roundabout," Yes' fourth album, Fragile, became an instant classic and is undoubtedly one of prog-rock's finest moments. It was the first Yes record to feature Rick Wakeman on keyboards and the first to display the inimitable artwork of Roger Dean.

From topping the charts to epic pieces taking up a side of vinyl, and even both at the same time, Yes are among of the longest lasting and the most successful of the '70s progressive rock groups, proving to be one of the lasting success stories from that musical genre. The band, founded in 1968, overcame a generational shift in its audience and the departure of its most visible members at key points in its history to reach the end of the century as the definitive progressive rock band.

poor mastering and poor quality pressing posted on 05/24/2019 2 Stars After listening to YES for 40+years, and living in Oxford during their heydays, I had all their music, a high end system, and went to their shows in London. When I got this reissue, I was completely disappointed. The mastering is not good. The "presence" that defines YES is mostly just absent. The balance is waaay off. And to top it off, the vinyl was warped. The cover is a cheap reproduction. Just a reissue to make an extra buck - a promo. Fail.

The Good, Bad and Ugly posted on 06/02/2016 3 Stars First off, I have the earlier Analogue Productions Yes - Fragile press from 2005 remastered by Hoffman/Gray, I just got this new pressing (5-2016) of the same album remastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent. The Good news is that this new pressing, does sound much better, lifting a veil and bringing back some missing dynamics. In short, its a good improvement over the earlier press and remastering. The Bad, the pressing is poor, this one is warped, and almost skips in one area. It is also a heck of a lot thinner than the earlier Acoustech pressing and lacks it's quality. The Ugly, the cover looks like a poor photo shoot, the colors are not even right, the Acoustech cover, inserts etc are the by far the best...... oh and did I mention that the Insert on this new version is apparently glued into the the cover and won't come out, I wish this was all QRP
