Part of the Ten Bands One Cause Breast Cancer Awareness promotion by RED Distribution

In support  of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October 2014, RED is releasing 10 titles on pink vinyl

All editions limited to 500 copies

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women during their lives and is the second-leading cancer killer of women in the U.S.; men are also vulnerable to the disease. To mark 2014 Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October,  RED is releasing 10 titles on limited edition pink vinyl. The albums from these 10 bands combined, have sold more than 575,000 units, while the bands have nearly 3.2 million Facebook likes and more than 1.3 million Twitter followers.

These bands and their record labels will be messaging out to their fans and potential customers the opportunity to support this great cause. These are the same full-length albums, made available on pink vinyl for the first time. The Kellie Pickler release is appearing on vinyl for the first time ever! All will feature different variants of pink vinyl and all will have the Ten Bands One Cause marketing sticker attached.

The ten bands and their albums are: Against Me: Transgender Dysphoria Blues; Courtney Barnett: The Double EP: A Sea Of Split Peas; In This Moment: Blood; Jason Isbell: Southeastern; Kellie Picker: The Woman I Am; Lucius: Wildewoman; Me First & The Gimme Gimmes: Are We Not Men? We are Diva!; Nothing: Guilty Of Everything; St. Paul & The Broken Bones: Half The City; and Temples: Sun Structures.

RED is also sponsoring Gilda's Club of New York City by donating to that organization $1 of every unit shipped on pink vinyl. Gilda's Club was founded in 1995 in memory of the Saturday Night Live comedian Gilda Radner, who died from breast cancer. The club's mission is to provide support for women and men who are diagnosed with cancer, their caregivers and those who have lost relatives and friends to the disease. The club provides networking resources, educational lectures, workshops and social activities, free of charge.
