"Truly a man for all seasons." — Mojo

"Steven Wilson is a contemporary genius." — Record Collector

Double vinyl LP pressing. 2013 release from the highly respected British Prog artist, producer and member of Porcupine Tree and No Man amongst others. The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories) was written between January and July 2012 and recorded in Los Angeles in September. One of the most eclectic and prolific artists in rock music, Steven Wilson has been writing, recording, and producing music continuously since the age of 10. Wilson's current band is a collection of stellar musicians: Lead guitarist Guthrie Govan, bassist Nick Beggs, Marco Minnemann on the drums, Theo Travis playing saxophone/flute, and Adam Holzman on keyboards. The record has been engineered by legendary producer/engineer Alan Parsons and includes six songs, three of which are 10 minute-plus epics and are based on stories of the supernatural.

Such a great record. The songs sound like the best 70's prog rock stylings - think Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson... A flawless recording job by the master, Alan Parsons. The sounds are impeccable. An added treat is the use of King Crimson's mellotron! The vinyl is perfect.

The man is brilliant. The album reflects his genius. It has amazing soundscapes, and is very avant garde. Quite psychedelic, too.

Btw, as usual, it arrived safely because of the TLC Acoustic Sounds puts into its packing.
