Phenomenal music and sound

Your other review said the sound quality was phenomenal, and I have to agree.I bought the record in Canada and have just got around to playing side 1. I was astounded, it sounded fantastic. I have to dis-agree with the first review here, I have the other AP 45rpm Elvis LP's and the out of print versions, they are great also, but honestly, on my SME 30/2, Elvis's Golden Records vol 3 hit my wow spot. It also shows that re-issue analog recordings from the master tape, properly done, are unmissable. Buy this if your an Elvis fan.

Sounds great, so-so packaging

First off, this record sounds phenomenal. Wide open stereo, with clear highs that aren't hard sounding, just full round stereo with plenty of low end.

However...this record is over $50, and at this price **everything should be top- tier, and the artwork/packaging falls way short.

The back cover is just solid black with an RCA logo. One side of the inner gatefold is solid white, with a track listing in the middle, the other half reproduces the back cover from what must have been a late 60's or 70's pressing with the wrong RCA logos. At the price they're asking this should be same quality as Music Matters or AP 45's. It's not even close. SO i'm docking a star.

But again, it does *sound* great, so if the music is worth it to you, go for it.
