180g Audiophile Vinyl Cut from the Original Analogue EMI Master Tapes at Abbey Road Studios!
Perlman was only 26 when he made these recordings for EMI but went on to have a long association with the company, making more than 70 recordings. A review of the original 1972 recording in the GRAMOPHONE stated: Cut at Abbey Road Studios from the original stereo analogue master tapes with the Neumann VMS80 lathe fed an analogue pre-cut signal from a specially adapted Studer A80 tape deck with additional playback head. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl to audiophile standards. Recorded in London's Kingsway Hall on August 9 and 10, 1971.
