Anders Öhrwall conducts members of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Stockholm Orchestra performing Händel's Messiah.

The music in this album is from a live recording of a concert of Händel's Messiah in Adolf Fredrik Church in Stockholm, Sweden on February 13 and 14, 1982 - almost exactly 240 years after the first performance in Dublin, Ireland in 1742. For technical reasons, the soloists could only take their places on a platform to the left in front of the violinists. Therefore, in your stereo system, you will hear them primarily from the left.
