Used with the appropriate pulley and cartridge, it also permits the replay of 78 rpm records. The replay speed can be increased and decreased in twenty steps of 0.1 rpm. The quartz lock provides perfect speed control for all music hall turntables, many project models, and any turntable with 120v AC synchronous motor. Please consult your dealer for a full list.

My 1st impression of this speed controller when 1st hooked up to my 1st generation Music Hall MMF5 was a better sound stage and improved bass. But after further listening I found it introduced an annoying low frequency hum. You could touch h the tone arm and actually feel it vibrate. Roy Hall had me buy replacement motor which I installed. No difference. Sent the unit to Roy. He swapped it for another Cruise Control. No improvement. I finally sold it on Ebay as he said there was nothing he could do for me. I could not imagine what damage the vibration may be doing to my stylus and vinyl.

Noticable Sound Improvment On Rega Planar 25 Turntable

I Purchased a Music Hall Cruise Control 2.0 for use with my old but heavily modified Rega Planer 25 turntable which uses the old motor. Hooked it up and noted an instant improvement in noise reduction and bass response upon playback of recordings. The Cruise Control 2.0 is also a revelation when playing back 12 inch 45RPM vinyl as I can now just push a button to change speeds rather than having to remove the heavy platter and adjust the belt every time I play a record.
