Masterfully produced, this is a compelling and superb pressing. Just a very small point that has nothing to do with the vinyl but the MP3 download does not work. Plus the email address for download help has been deleted.

Not simply "as good as it gets" - this *is* how it should be

An impeccable pressing from Panegyric, Robert Fripp's personal label. Blows away those foggy Classic 'so-called' audiophile pressings. One listen and it is immediately clear this newly remastered mix has factored in the sonic qualities of vinyl. Dynamic range - a crucial factor of this album - is open and expansive. Drums, vocal, flute, Mellotron - all properly balanced in the sound stage. And, what a true pleasure to receive a perfectly flat copy with no pops or clicks. 200gm, for those that like to know these things. Plus a 320kbs mp3 voucher. Somebody got this very right. The 'major' record labels - what's left of them - would do well to pay close attention. Offering "remasters" from the CD mix, come on! Fools. Kudos to Fripp

Get it while you can folks!

Generally, I don't like re-issues of classic rock. I have almost every UK & US LP of this album (and a couple of CD's too) and unless you have a time machine to 1969 England, find a job (our currency will look phony) and return it to your present turntable, you won't do better than this re-master. The recording is still just as brittle as it ever was, but it sounds like being one layer closer to what happened in the studio back then. Everything but the drums has more space & color. Even the cymbals sound kind of real. The DVD-A may be better, but I don't have it. Until something comes along that's better, this is my go to version. The pressing is as good as it gets. Absolutely silent. Even on Moonchild, the tape noise is far louder (in a good way) than the vinyl. No sibilance. No sense of constricting in the inner groove area. LISTEN UP all you record manufacturers! I don't know who pressed these, but ALL new releases could be this good! Why aren't they? Buy this while you can!
