Not much needs to be said about this one. So many of his greatest songs are here. Tracks one through 14 were all originally recorded on analog multi-track magnetic tape in formats ranging from one-inch eight track to two-inch 24 track. In each case, after the recording process was completed, these multi-track master tapes were mixed to 1/4-inch stereo two-channel at 15 IPS analog master tapes. At that time, these tapes were among those assembled onto two sequenced LP master reels which were then used to cut the metal lacquers from which two sides of the original vinyl LPs were ultimately pressed. These same two-channel masters were used for this project. Simply put, the goal was to achieve as accurate and detailed an extraction of the original audio signal as possible.

Mofi has had great success with the One Step process avoiding an extra stamper step for Santana, Bill Evans, Donald Fagen $$$

Here they flew under the radar

you have that luscious sound quality from beautiful analog tape and one step mastering

Outstanding!

No real need to comment on the list of songs. I was curious as to why there are no reviews on this and so many on the Classic Records pressing. I was able to hear both and believe me, this pressing takes NO back seat to the Classic version. I thought the Classic 200g sounded very good. This pressing (180g from Pallas in Germany) is just off the charts in terms of sound quality. This is the current pressing and if you were able to sample both, I have no doubt that you would choose this pressing if you were going to purchase. I did. Highly recommended.
