Here's something all the critics can agree on: Elvis Costello's first three albums are among the greatest records ever made. Mobile Fidelity remastered each title from the original master tapes and pressed them onto limited-edition 180-gram vinyl. For the first time ever, hear Costello's landmark 1977 debut My Aim Is True, 1978's caustic masterpiece This Year's Model and 1979's pop-fueled favorite Armed Forces in dynamic, analog sound! Each record features the original U.K. art. Pump it up!

My Aim Is True announces the arrival of a singular talent. One of the greatest debut albums ever recorded, the 1977 set hasn't lost any of the vibrant urgency, lyrical edge or biting wit that made Costello the pin-up model for new-wave music. Blending punk-fueled motivation with pub-rock, reggae and classic American rock n' roll strains, the landmark effort includes many of the singers' best-known tunes: "Alison," "Watching the Detectives" and "Mystery Dance" included.

1.   Welcome To The Working Week
2.   Miracle Man
3.   No Dancing
4.   Blame It On Cain
5.   Alison
6.   Sneaky Feelings
7.   Watching the Detectives
8.   (The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes
9.   Less Than Zero
10.   Mystery Dance
11.   Pay It Back
12.   I'm Not Angry
13.   Waiting For The End Of The World

great stuff! If I didn't already own a turntable I'd buy one just to play this record!

This album and the other two MFSL releases of Costello's first three albums are a must own if you're a fan.

The definitive version of this classic album

I've owned several versions of this album in different formats, including the original US LP when it was released and this MoFi version KILLS all of them: it's not even close! I always assumed that this was just a shoddy recording and that nothing could save it. It was thin, compressed, in sort, terrible. The MoFi version sounds like a decently recorded album! The difference is not subtle and will be easily noticable on any system. I heard things - and not a few, but MANY - that I had never heard before. If you like or love this album, YOU MUST BUY THIS! Revelatory.

There's nothing more to say about the album that hasn't already been said, but this recording is super mint. MFSL always impresses - eg. check out the ultra tight bass on whatching the detectives. Last a lifetime quality.
