Mobile Fidelity has remastered one of the greatest live albums ever recorded - Little Feat's Waiting For Columbus - and pressed it on numbered, limited-edition 180-gram double LP as well as an exquisite-sounding gold disc. Stuffed with first-rate songwriting, humorous lyrics and laid-back funk, Dixie Chicken is Little Feat's pinnacle studio album. Wait until you hear the transparent sound!

Stuffed with first-rate songwriting, humorous lyrics and laidback funk, Dixie Chicken is Little Feat's pinnacle studio album. The easygoing 1973 classic benefits from the arrival of three new musicians that fill out the band's sound and expand the stylistic palette, resulting in a more diversified rhythmic foundation and instrumental support. In addition, Little Feat thoroughly embraces New Orleans-rooted R&B that makes the record eminently soulful - and enjoyable. In every sense, this is the epitome of early '70s American rock and roll - funny, smart, relaxing, cohesive, melodic, smooth, stylish, engaging. And essential.

A better record than I remember, not hearing it in a while, mastered very well. It makes me want to get more.

Terrible re-mastering/pressing

One of the greatest of all albums. Too bad that this 'Mo-Fi' remastered vinyl is so AWFUL. Dead On Arrival. Rolled off as hell, flat, the stereo image not even centered properly! Beware. There is a 'Speakers Corner' version I think- that one might be better.

I love Little Feat and I love this record, but what MFSL has done here, is not worth the money. Every old regular US pressing sounds better. The complete sound comes like through a filter and you can't hear the brilliant music which this record normally provides.

MFSL has made a few good records, but this time it's not worth a single star, but I can't give zero stars.

A real gem.

Little Feat's third album is another great record by the band. As with Mobile Fidelty's new pressings of the bands' first two albums this one really shines. If you're a Little Feat Fanatic this is a must own. And what a better place to buy it from than Acoustic Sounds.
