Great album, poor QC

This is a great album musically, and the sonic attributes are equally good, provided you can realize them. The folks at AS were good enough to replace my first LP. The LP was badly warped - like I could eat cereal out of it. I have a VPI with the ring clamp, without which, the concave side would knock the tonearm off. The ring clamp could not overcome most of the memory in the hefty 200g. The replacement album was similarly bowled, although not as bad. I'm going to have to live with this. It is audible and clearly not isolated.

How can anyone not like this music or recording; it's very good, quiet, detailed, and it has that sultry soulful sound that only Margo can produce. A definite must have for all Cowboy Junkie fans! Better than the CD for sure and it's very good too.

If you like this recording then get Trinty Revisited, it's even better! I've seen the Cowboy Junkies live in concert several times (they are fantastic live) and these two records and the next best thing; most highly recommended!

I have enjoyed the Cowboy Junkies for years. I guess I was expecting more from this album.

This sultry album is a true masterpiece. Excellent recording of something that is anything but country. I just ordered another copy for my collection.

What is this sound? So faint the words so strangely wonderful the sound. I keep playing the whole album over and over to pick out the words and yet marvel at the vocals and meshing of instruments. Junkies. Sounds like there may be some truth in their sound seems to be from a group that has found some other dimension for such a slowed down groove. Maybe mushrooming magical mystery tour. I do not know, except they are very special and I love the album.
