Formed as a trio in Dublin, Ireland circa '69, Thin Lizzy didn't surge into the platinum leagues until their '76 breakthrough "Jailbreak," via the classic Lynott, Robertson, Gorham & Downey lineup, which ultimately unleashed the No. 12 charting single "The Boys Are Back In Town." Mixing Springsteen-esque poetry with street fighting imagery, "The Boys…" has since been featured in films as varied as Toy Story and TV shows like My Name Is Earl; fostering covers by such unlikely brethren as Bon Jovi and Pearl Jam. In 2004, Rolling Stone named "The Boys…" as one of its Top 500 songs of all time. In 2009, it will re-enter the mainstream via an aggressive VH1 Classic TV campaign for Still Dangerous, and it's inclusion into gaming sensation Rock Band. Culled from the same tour that produced Live And Dangerous, Still Dangerous strikes a balance between classics and gems that have never appeared on any Lizzy live album; taking it's place as an all-time great rock and roll sequel…the boys are back, indeed!
