"...Another amazing remastering from the team of Hoffman, Gray and Kassem and highly recommended!" - Myles B. Astor, Positive Feedback Online, Issue 49

"Ben Webster was at the height of his powers when his final American LP was recorded. What a gorgeous, 'fat' tone he had on the tenor sax. I can't wait to settle into my listening chair and float away." - Jim Hannon, AVguide.com

Ben Webster's final American recording was one of his greatest. At 55, the tenor saxophonist was still very much in his prime but considered out of style in the U.S. He would soon permanently move to Europe where he was better appreciated. Webster's tone has rarely sounded more beautiful than on "Someone To Watch Over Me" and "Our Love Is Here To Stay."

Originally released in 1964.

Fine Recording

This is a good representative recording of one of the all time ballad masters. Sonically, excellent. My only complaint is in the original posting that has a long list of personnel (including Pepper Adams of whom I am a big fan) who do not appear anywhere on the recording. However, once I started listening to Ben Webster's luscious tone, all was forgiven!

Great tunes and great sound. Almost every track is good. Absolutely a quality reference disc.
