All For You is a tribute to the Nat King Cole Trio by a woman who is better equipped than any other jazz musician of her generation to evoke the spirit of Nat Cole. Diana Krall, who listened eagerly to Cole's records as a child, grew up to be that rarest of birds: a singer-pianist as comfortable and distinctive in one role as the other. You couldn't prove it by her; Krall's modesty is a byword in the business. But her colleagues know better and are quick to say so. "She plays all that piano," guitarist Russell Malone says, shaking his head and grinning, "and then she sings like that! I don't think she knows how good she is." This was one of the most requested CDs at the HI-Fi 97 audio show.

Diana's vocals on this record are fantastic and the piano and guitar sound great. This LP deserves 5 Stars for Sound, but the vinyl quality was somewhat lacking on my copy. On my copy, both disc had outer edge warps that was likely caused by the overly tight plastic wrapping. Also, the surface was not on the quite side which included some loud pops. If you get a clean copy this is wonderful sounding LP.

My copy pops as well!!! The ORG Krall vinyls are NOT pressed at the Palles plant. They are being made at GZvinyl in east Europe. A quick run thru of the ORG releases: Coltrane: live at village vangard - Pallas pressing. Nirvana: Nevermind and In utero - RTI pressing. Diana Krall: Look of love, Live in paris, All for you - GZ vinyl pressing. This is now a fact!

The mastering job is brilliant never the less

Diana at her best! Small group without all the usual Tommy LiPuma overproduction. Take the cover from her latest and paste it on the front of this and you have the ultimate Diana Krall!!

All of the above plus I could not fit it in any of my usual outer sleeves. I had to use one for small box sets! This packaging is a fair bit bigger than any of my 'normal' gatefolds.

My favorite Krall album by a mile. There isn't a song on it I don't enjoy. The first one they sent me was severely warped, but Acoustic Sounds sent me a new one no problem. The album is beautifully mastered. I hear nuances I never heard on the CD. This album is as warm and lush sounding as it gets. I'll wear this out very soon and will be ordering another one I'm sure.
