Benz - Ruby 3H Cartridge (.8mV output)

The Ruby uses the most powerful magnet (Neodymium) used in any moving coil design and can only be used with the non-ferrous Ruby square plate as the typical iron coil design would be overloaded by the intense magnetic field.

This design resides in that rarified class of those items that can truly be called "the best." A warmer tonal balance compared to most other moving coils but still very quick and lively. This cartridge has a midrange presence and immediacy that has to be experienced first hand. Designed for the finest turntables and electronics, its performance will compare to many other more expensive, cost-no-object designs.

The medium output version Ruby, at .8 mV, is ideal for tube phono stages in the 50~60 dB gain range, less efficient systems, and prefers a 47 kohm laod.
