Clapton's 1974 comeback album after his long reclusive struggle with heroin. This is Clapton's second studio album, following his Derek & The Dominos Layla masterpiece. Clapton fan favorites like "Let It Grow," "Willie and the Hand Jive," "Motherless Child" and his version of "I Shot The Sheriff" make this an essential record.

Great job redoing poor RSO tapes

This is one of my all time favs and having owned a bunch of copies, all of the original RSO/Polydor pressings were horrible, with tape hiss and dolby cutting in and out and sundry distortion. This copy is top drawer all the way, great quiet vinyl, and they really did a classy job of fixing the lousy original recording. Way better than MFSL CD.

If you like this album it is outstanding from any other copy you will ever hear you will hear more than you can hear in the 5 channel.

Its so smooth and quite. Its great to hear distinctly Yvonne Elliman's voice in the background. This is much better than MOFI's gold disc. Tom Dowd would be proud of this reissue. The instruments are clear and seperate. I've heard percussion I've never heard before, voice inflections that I did not catch. The LP really opens up the space in the recording studio. Universal really did a great job.
