Like the title suggests, this 1978 release found Genesis as a trio after the defections of front man Peter Gabriel and guitarist Steve Hackett. But Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford still comprise one hell of a trio. In fact, the band climbed to even greater levels of commercial success. Their song "Follow You, Follow Me" introduced the band to the singles charts, and songs like "Deep in the Motherlode," "Ballad of Big" and "Down and Out" showed the group's taste for complex composition.
