This record has been incorrectly labeled STEREO. It's confirmed to be MONO.
This is one of those Blue Note Records that as Larry Cohn would say, should have come out in 1960 when it was recorded but not released, which was common for Blue Note. Tina on tenor sax is accompanied by Jackie McLean on alto sax, Blue Mitchell on trumpet, Kenny Drew on piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Art Taylor on drums doing tunes like "Back to the Tracks," "Street Singer" and "The Blues and I" all penned by Brooks as well as other tunes. The first issue of this recording was in Japan and it has only subsequently been issued in the U.S. in stereo and as such this constitutes the first Mono LP issue as it would have been if it had been put out in 1960. This first U.S. Blue Note Mono issue on LP has been faithfully reproduced and transferred from the original full-track Mono master tapes on Classic's all-tube, Mono cutting system.
