stunning performance and sound

I bought this disc in a set of 5 after first hearing it at the HighEnd fair in Munich. I was as impressed with by the skill of the musicians as I was with the absolut transparency and intimacy of the recording. Switching back and forth between the 2ch and the 3ch mix impressively demonstrates the importance of the third front channel. The gain in clarity and depth is simply stunning. This is totally different than modern day multichannel music where the center channel may or may not contain vital parts of the music. In a number of modern mixes the center channel is used just to 'fill in' but not as an equally important channel as the left and right. So a lot of times the center is expendable. NOT the case with the 3ch recordings. No matter is you are interested in the type of music or not anybody even remotely interested in the history and technology of our favourite spare time should own such a 3ch disc. BTW I DID like the conentent a lot. Lot's of fun.
