Cliburn is joined on this classic Living Stereo recording by Kiril Kondrashin and the RCA - Victor Orchestra.

When remastering the original recordings, John Newton and his engineering team used only three of the available six channels on this SACD disc because that was the vision of the original producers.

No one performs the music on this Hybrid SACD better than the master, Cliburn himself. And for these performances nothing sounds better than this SACD release, not even the original LP. When I first bought it I didn't have an SACD player, so don't let that stop you. It sounds really good, even on the Red Book (CD) layer. A must-buy for the music library of any Classical enthusiast. I love it!
