Designed to take any headphones to new sonic heights. Machined from a solid block of Mahogany, it measures 5" wide, 5 1/2" deep and 1 1/2" tall and weighs 12 oz. At last, the headphone amp I've been looking for! This little wooden box really makes my AKG K-701 headphones sound fantastic. Three headphone amps later and I've struck the mother lode. There's a web site called Head-Fi that's dedicated to headphones and related gear that a lot of Grado amp bashing goes on at and I just don't get it and I'm glad I didn't pay attention to the bashers there. This amp is smooth. The highs are crisp without being harsh, the mids are detailed, and the bass is what bass should sound like. I run the amp out of my tape out plugs on my Marantz 2265B and my music source is vinyl played on a "bohhey" Dual 701 with a Shure V-15 III cart and Jico SAS stylus.
