Mellow, quiet, sensual, relaxing music. Movietone, of Bristol, England, formed in 1994, and has released four albums to Indie Rock acclaim. Featuring guitar, drums, cello, double bass, clarinet, trumpet, accordion, saxophones and vocals, The Sand and The Stars oozes with peaceful relaxation.

"This record started out on a beach under the stars - ‘beach samba’, ‘we rode on’ - and then went back to the city, to a church - ‘snow is falling’, a warehouse - ‘ocean song’, ‘not even close’ and a house - ‘Red Earth’, ‘let night in’, ‘In Mexico’, ‘pale tracks’, ‘the sand and the stars’. It ended up on a coastpath, illuminated by a lighthouse - ‘near Marconi’s hut’.
