Pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI and cut at AcousTech Mastering by Kevin Gray from the original analog masters. Includes all original packaging. This title features the great Sinatra paired with one of Brazil’s most renowned composers and musicians. Recorded in 1967, this was Sinatra’s first crack at bossa nova, which at the time was becoming quite popular in the US. One of Sinatra’s most rewarding albums of the 1960s.

This is a favorite of mine from Sinatra's Reprise years. I never considered the Reprise releases of Sinatra material to be as interesting musically or sonically as those from the Capitol years. This performance is an exception, but the original pressings i heard were grainy and compressed. This reissue solves some of the issues - better vinyl decent pressing, perhaps a better mastering. But if you've been snapping up MOFI's latest Sinatra offerings, you're in for a let down. This issue can't hold a candle to the MOFIS. I for one would pay twice what i paid for this to have the MoFI team work their magic and bring out more of this incredible performance.

Can't believe no-one has reviewed this

Simply put this is one of the 10 best records ever made. It's pretty short but the singing and instrumentation are just wonderful. This version tells me every time I play it why I spent the money on the system I have. People will say there are better Sinatra LPs around but this is the one I go to most often. If you're happy it reinforces the mood and if you're sad then it just makes you feel blue.
