Installation Instructions posted on 10/16/2011 5 Stars Reviewer: Justin Javan 1. Remove old mat by pulling it off slowly. 2. Pop out the center piece of the new mat (the part with the hole for the center shaft to go through :) and remove white backing. 3. Put the center shaft through the center piece of the cork mat, and then attach that portion of the cork-mat to the platter. 4. Pull off the backing of the larger section of the mat, place it on the platter from the inside out i.e. carefully align the mat to the center piece of cork already attached. 5. Once you do that then just stick the cork to the rest of the platter. Voila - new cork mat, and no adjusting.

Did not work on older model posted on 04/19/2006 3 Stars Replaced original plastic foam mat with this cork unit. Vacuum wand no longer properly contacts the record surface. Am ordering a 2nd cork mat to place on top of the first. VPI has not been helpful.
