Diana Krall - All For You: A Dedication To The Nat King Cole Trio

Jazz without the cool but sensual singing of Diana Krall just wouldn't sound the same. Her pre-bop piano style and fortuitously photogenic looks combined to storm the jazz world in the late 1990s.

As part of Verve Records' ongoing 60th anniversary celebration, Verve/United Music Enterprises is proud to announce the release of eight essential Diana Krall albums in 180-gram, 2LP vinyl reissues. The renowned pianist and vocalist has called Verve home for the vast majority of her illustrious career, and these new versions of her recordings originally released between 1996 and 2009 showcase many of her finest moments in lustrous vinyl format.

All For You is Krall's reverent tribute to the Nat King Cole Trio, originally released by impulse! in 1996. The album features Krall leading a trio with guitarist Russell Malone and bassist Paul Keller through some of the legendary pianist/singer's most beloved tunes, with guest appearances by pianist Benny Green and percussionist Steve Kroon. Krall is able to link her singing to her piano playing in sympathetic ways and projects tremendous feeling through both.

so many pops posted on 01/26/2017 3 Stars Reviewer: wownflutter This kind of music needs quiet vinyl. This ain't it. The master sounds really good, but even after an ultrasonic cleaning, the pops just destroy it. Spring for the 2lp 45rmp for this one.
