When Cannonball Adderley scheduled the 1958 recording of what was to be his only Blue Note LP, he called on his old employer from their days as quintet members on Columbia, Miles Davis. The reunion resulted in one of the greatest and most revered Jazz LPs ever: Somethin' Else. The quintet delivers beautiful renditions of "Autumn Leaves," "Love For Sale," "One For Daddy-O," "Dancing In The Dark" and the title tune. Cut from the original first generation analog masters, it sizzles.

This is one of the crown jewels of the Blue Note catalog. When you get right down to it you might want to consider it a Miles Davis album.

His presence cannot be missed. Fantastic sound for Blue Note one of Rudy's most transparent recordings with you are there fidelity.

Highly recommended in stereo. Just wait till you hear Miles voice speaking to Alfred Lion. One of the greatest moments in jazz. +++++ all the way!

The music is just simply awesome. Miles Davis' trumpet blows me away. I can't wait for the Blue Notes reissue on 45rpm.
