Clark Williams
He's
back! Clark Williams, who worked at Acoustic Sounds about 10 years ago,
returned to Salina, Kansas for 2003's Blues
Masters at the Crossroads concerts at Blue
Heaven Studios. Blown away by what Chad Kassem's operation
had become, Clark decided that this is where he wanted to be.
A native of Houma, Louisiana, Clark has been a flat-out music nut literally
since age four. That's when his older brothers first turned him onto
the harmonies of The Beach Boys. Clark has been spinning records and
tweaking systems almost ever since.
After he graduated with a degree in finance from Louisiana State University,
New Orleans, Clark had plans to become a banker. But his passion took
hold and he instead went to work for Wilson Audio in New Orleans. He's
been working in the industry for most of the last 15 years. Clark loves
to talk hi-fi, collects vintage tube electronics, is an expert in turntable
and system setup, and of course has a reference system of his own. But
what's maybe most interesting about Clark is his diverse musical tastes.
He digs lesser-known, underdog artists. Clark is always trying to uncover
new, killer tunes that have great sound to boot. Most of it is available
on vinyl. We call it Under
The Radar Music, and Clark is going to be
our main man in that department.
Give him a call, pick his brain, make a suggestion...Be it high-end audio
or deep-end music, Clark's your guy.
